| Objective of the project | Production of saplings of wild-fruit rare species of Zhetysu Alatau by creating a nursery farm for vegetative propagation for consumers working in the field of preserving unique biological diversity, forming collection plantations and producing fruit products and green urban planning. |
| Project Description | Genetically identical saplings of rare wild-fruit species of Zhetysu Alatau will be obtained for reproduction in the nursery farm of at least 7 species by methods of obtaining pure culture, micropropagation, cuttings. Saplings of rare wild-fruit species will provide the basis for reproduction and preservation of the gene pool, the formation of collection plantings, the production of fruit products of rare wild-fruit plants and landscaping (Sivers apple, Nedzvetsky apple, common apricot, Almaty hawthorn, Jungar hawthorn, Ili honeysuckle, Tianshan ash, Ili barberry, Meyer currant, etc.). |
