| Project Description | Stationary electric storage devices are necessary for the operation of key energy consuming systems: for their autonomous operation or for use in conditions of grid power supply disruption. The main criterion for the use of such batteries is the severity of the consequences associated with a power failure. The consequences associated with the shutdown of appliances and the de-energization of equipment can be catastrophic. The role of stationary batteries is especially high in power engineering, telecommunications, industry and medicine. For example, Kazakh national companies such as Kazakhtelecom JSC and KEGOC JSC actively purchase and use stationary batteries at their infrastructure facilities. Unfortunately, today there is no production of such batteries in the country, with the availability of raw materials and the ability to provide Kazakhstani content up to 90%. Today all infrastructure and strategic facilities of the state (telecommunication systems, power substations, gas pipeline protection systems, automatic control systems, emergency power supply systems and other) are equipped with imported batteries and their energy security is dependent on foreign suppliers. The project proposes to solve the problem of energy security by producing domestic stationary batteries of increased reliability OPzV/OPzS. |
